Registration Information and Forms 

Prospective QTC Runners and Parents,

Thank you for your interest in joining one of the finest track clubs in Georgia. Below shares information about how to join the QTC and briefly covers all the registration information needed. Our coaches roster consists of USA Track & Field certified professionals who have a passion for enhancing youth self-image and life skills development through track and field. Our successful “track record” is a testament to QTC’s rich history in training fine academic athletes, who attend, perform, and graduate with a college degree.

Our Spring/Summer competition season begins in March of each year, but we begin fall training/conditioning in October of the previous year.

Spring and Summer Registration: 

The cost of registration for the 2018-2019 Quicksilver Summer season is $400 for all returning athletes and $450 for all new athletes. We encourage all parents/athletes that plan to participate in the 2019 summer season, to join our spring training group. Costs of registration for the spring training group is $205. 

Spring Registration covers the following: 
  • City of South Fulton Fee (GA Park and Rec Program): $40
  • CCYTL Fee (Cobb County Youth Track Leauge): $20
  • QTC Banquet: $35
  • Uniform: $110 ( Running Uniform, Warm-up Sweatsuits) 
Summer Registration covers the following:
  • USATF Membership Card (Athlete’s Liability Insurance): $20
  • Track Meet Entry fees (depends on advancement): $130
  • Equipment (Hurdles, Blocks, Throwing Implements, Batons, Sleds, Medicine Balls, etc.): $50
  • Administrative Fees (Club’s USATF Membership, Club liability insurance, Website Maintenance, Banquet, etc.): $150
  • Gold T-Shirt & Uniform: $100 (Subject to Change) 
  • Coaches Compensation: ALL COACHES ARE VOLUNTEER
Registration Deadlines and Deposits
  •  Full Spring Registration payment is due no later than 02/25/2019.
    • Registration fees do not cover any travel costs for the season
    • A non- refundable deposit $110 is required for all Spring participants and will be credited towards the full registration payment.  Deposit is due by 2/8/2019. 
  • Summer Registration payments are due no later than XX/XX/XXXX
    • Registration fees do not cover any travel costs for the season
    • A non- refundable deposit of $150 is required for all Summer participants and will be credited towards the total registration payment.

  1. Complete the  Quicksilver Participation Agreement Form.    
  2.  Complete the Emergency Medical Authorization Form
  3. Once you have completed the Quicksilver Participation Agreement Form and the Emergency Medical Authorization Form email those forms to quicksilvertracktc@gmail.com
  4. Access the Quicksilver Registration Payment page to pay the registration deposit. (See above for the breakdown of the registration fee)
  5. Purchase Uniform. All new athletes/parents will be required to purchase a uniform. The cut-off dates for Spring uniform orders is February 8, 2019. (See below on step by step process on how to purchase Uniform)

FAQ

What are those forms you are asking me to fill out? 

Quicksilver Track Club Participation Agreement Form: This form is an agreement between the club and the parents stating that you (the parents) understand the commitment that is involved for our program and that you will commit to having the athlete(s) at practice and track meets for the entire season.

Emergency Medical Authorization Form: This form gives only the Quicksilver staff permission to provide emergency medical treatment for the athlete in the event the parent cannot be reached. Please list any medical problem that may affect your child’s participation. Please note that our training is more demanding than the average school/recreation program, so an annual physical examination is suggested.w

When does your competitions season begin?

What is the Uniform payment Deadlines? 

Uniform deadline for the spring season will be February 8, 2019.  Athletes/Parents that miss the deadline will incur an additional fee.

What are all these fees? 

Our registration fees cover all meet entry fees, membership fees for USA Track & Field, equipment purchase/maintenance and Administrative Fees (Club’s USATF Membership, Club liability insurance, Website Maintenance, Banquet, etc.)

Should I wait until all my fees are paid before bringing my athlete practice?

NO!! Please do not withhold your child from practice because of fees. We can always catch up the money, but we cannot catch up on conditioning and preparation.

Coach, I may not be able to pay the registration fee in full, is there anything I can do? 

No problem! We handle these issues on a case by case basis so please feel free reach out to any coach and we will discuss a plan that can work for you and your athlete. The registration fees do not have to be paid all at once, but must be paid by the communicated deadline.

Is the registration fee the same if my child is between the ages of 4-6?

No, the registration fee is no the same. You are not required to purchase a uniform is your child is between 4-6. Your fee is going to be $55.  However, if your child will turn seven before the end of 2019 then you may have to purchase a uniform. 

Almost every athlete returns season after season, and all agree that they have a lot of fun. All report that the discipline and the experiences made the summers memorable and worthwhile.
